Essentially the lesson to learn from Attila in this book was "never tolerate discontent among the Huns". Anyone who spreads discontent, and you know who they are, must go immediately. They will be like poison inside your business. It doesn't matter if you have 4 agents or 40. They've got to go!

How I Started My Own Real Estate Brokerage – From The Ground Up
Jake and I met when he was selling me a copier for my new mortgage office in 1998. We were married that following November 1999, and we've been working together ever since.
The following year by June 2000 we decided to open our own business—Prime Real Estate Inc—but we never worked for another brokerage. We knew that we wanted to create a business that I could handle by myself should anything ever happen to Jake. You see, Jake has been a diabetic since he was five years old, and today at 52 years old, that takes a toll on his body.
So, we're not your average startup.
We started this business as a way to fulfill our own needs, and we've always been in charge of every major decision. From the start it was our business, our brand, and we called all of the shots.
We got our sales licenses, formed our corporation, and hired a designated broker of record. We were 100% stock holders. It was our business, our...

A father used to say to his children when they were young: —When you all reach the age of 12 I will tell you the secret of life. One day when the oldest turned 12, he anxiously asked his father what was the secret of life. The father replied that he was going to tell him, but that he should not reveal it to his brothers.
—The secret of life is this: The cow does not give milk. "What are you saying?" Asked the boy incredulously. —As you hear it, son: The cow does not give milk, you have to milk it. You have to get up at 4 in the morning, go to the field, walk through the corral full of manure, tie the tail, hobble the legs of the cow, sit on the stool, place the bucket and do the work yourself.
That is the secret of life, the cow does not give milk. You milk her or you don't get milk. There is this generation that thinks that cows GIVE milk. That things are automatic and free: their mentality is that if "I wish, I ask..... I obtain."
"They have been...
I'm a believer if you want to to become an expert and succeed at something important to you - you study for it.
